Scott Walker was a member of the Walker Brothers, whose biggest hit was 1966's "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore." He's an American expatriate who found fame in the UK. After the the Walker Brothers, he went on to record some of the most breathtaking works ever. You can draw the line straight from him to David Bowie. Think Andy Williams singing over Stravinksy and John Barry arrangements. best albums to pick up are his "Scott" series, 1-4.

He is still active and producing astounding records.
