5. My wife's long national nightmare is finally at an end

Ever since this dreadful show began its current season, I've been enduring a litany of grievances from my wife over the continuing participation of Kate Gosselin. I've even been lasooed into watching her stiff, lifeless performances and rendering suitably negative critiques. I earned points of my own last night by observing that her ladled-on skin bronzer made her look like an Oompa Loompa, but I earned infinite attaboys by cheering her departure from the show right alongside my wife. Yes, her long national nightmare is finally at an end...and so is mine, as my wife indicated that she no longer has an interest in the remainder of this season's entertainment.

6. I was surprised at how nice the judges were to her,

when they never showed that much consideration to other stars in previous seasons.

She has always been stiff and you can see her mentally counting out the steps.

7. There seems to be a lot of "push" on her behalf

I don't know why, but the supermarket tabloids and celebrity magazines have had her mentioned seemingly nonstop. I find her quite unplesant
