I probably won't watch the US version as it will most likely suck.

And I am hardly a gear head (can barely change the oil), but Top Gear and Car Talk (NPR) always manage to keep me entertained :)

It will be interesting to see how the US version does, some shows don't translate very well (coupling) while others like The Office tend to do well.
