12. Women who fight age that hard fail to realize hard truths

Hard truth #1: there are generally only two cosmetic surgeries to a customer. After that, they only make a person look grotesque. In her case, her tight face contrasts against her crepe neck and the effect is bizarre.

Hard truth #2: While thin is in, culturally speaking, what is lithe and lissome at 20 is tough and stringy at 45. We're supposed to add a bit of padding as we age. To fail to do it is a serious mistake that does us no favors in the looks department.

Hard truth #3: Being overly thin is a contributing factor to developing osteoporosis. Pills to counteract it come with their own problems, so the best thing to do is to protect your health and forget about that size 2 figure by the time you exit your 30s.

Hard truth #4: Makeup doesn't help. The older you get, the lighter your makeup should be because it just collects in places you don't want it to if you put it on heavily. A tinted lip balm, light blush (maybe) and mascara should be it over 50. Really. Dark lipstick and heavy makeup age us. Think of it as earning a vacation from a two hour morning routine.

Hard truth #5: Nothing in this world will compensate for the damage done to our skin by either smoking or sun exposure. If you've screwed up your skin with those things, you should focus on preventing more damage instead of paying a plastic surgeon to attempt the impossible.

"I've never had a great stomach, but (being ill) just completely tore up my stomach and broke down my immune system, and I've basically just been a mess ever since, stomach-wise. It's about rebuilding my immune system."
Tori has repeatedly been hospitalized with stomach pains in the past year. In October she took to Twitter to say she weighed 107 pounds, after tabloid stories reported her weight had dipped below 100.

If someone gains weight because of illness - their fat slobs. If they lose weight because of illness - they have a eating disorder.

so no we DON'T realize that it isn't sexy, thanks very much. I've suffered from eating disorders since puberty. I'm 32. It doesn't go away very easily.
