Things are not looking up for Casey Affleck. A second woman who worked with Affleck on his Joaquin Phoenix documentary is claiming sexual harassment, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Cinematographer Magdalena Gorka alleges that while filming the documentary, Affleck climbed into bed with her and groped her while she was sleeping. She is suing for $2.25 million.
Amanda White, a producer on the same documentary, filed a similar lawsuit last week alleging Affleck engaged in inappropriate behavior. Both women left the film after said incidents and claim Affleck refused to pay them for their completed work.
A rep for Affleck said a statement is forthcoming that will address the new allegations. Over the weekend, Affleck vehemently denied White's accusations and threatened to countersue her.
In the new lawsuit, Gorka says it was decided that instead of staying in hotels during filming, the crew would sleep at Phoenix's house. Phoenix offered Groka his bed and said he'd sleep on the couch.
"During the middle of the night, (Gorka) awoke to find Affleck lying in the bed next to her," the lawsuit alleges. "Unbeknownst to (Gorka), Affleck had entered the bedroom while she was asleep and crawled into the bed. When she woke up, Affleck was curled up next to her in the bed wearing only his underwear and a t-shirt. He had his arm around her, was caressing her back, his face was within inches of hers and his breath reeked of alcohol." .........(more)
