Animal Kingdom thrills US audiences

We saw this back in June- you all are going to love the film when it breaks out this fall. Had a 100% at rotten tomatoes all "winter" long.

Australian crime drama Animal Kingdom has won over both fans and critics on its opening weekend at the US box office.

The film grossed $US51,166 ($A56,958) after screening in four theatres in New York and Los Angeles, and will now be seen in 140 north American cities during September and October.

The award-winning tale of a dysfunctional Melbourne crime family won rave reviews from the American press, with the Wall Street Journal calling it "phenomenal".
