I LOVE old flicks, especially smart comedies -- and fred and ginger of course.

5. I just finished watching "The Man in the White Suit."
A very young Alec Guinness starred. I have to say that even though I found the story charming (when I could discern it), there was a fair amount of dreck.

Too many chases, too much loud arguing and yelling, trashing the scenes, random running around. It gets old after awhile, and doesn't seem to advance the story very much or very well.

One actress had an immediately recognizable voice. I had to look her up in IMDB to realize just who she was: Joan Greenwood who played the boss' daughter. She also had a role in "Tom Jones." She was excellent.

OTOH, I loved "Kind Hearts and Coronets." A much better comedy.

Just my 2 cents...
