I've seen the passive/aggressive GF interviewed a couple of times, and I can't help but think she gave as good as she got, even if was "only" emotional abuse.

They both need to be charged and sent to mandatory rehab with a strong emphasis on anger management and psychotherapy. "Psycho" being the operative word.

The tapes, if you listened to them, clearly shows a man who is unhinged and I believe, quite capable of even worse than what happened. He clearly threatened murder and suicide, and tried to choke her in front of her son and her infant daughter. He terrorized everyone around him.

My sympathy is with the victims and I think it took allot of guts to speak out instead of taking a payoff and remaining silent and thus, allowing his rein of terror to continue.

His kids with his ex-wife are messed up. I think this behavior has been going on for a very long time and his money and fame have provided a cover for him.

You should meet some of the women I've known - hate all women (competition) and believe they can get anything they want from a man by constantly berating and deriding everything they do.

The sad thing is, it took me nearly 40 years to catch on, because I was brought up with it.

I was simply pointing out that I didn't think Mel was solely at fault. You assign 100% of the blame to Mel, and would hold her harmless of any wrongdoing.

Yeah, I've seen that attitude, as well.

The courts will decide based on the evidence, however the tapes of the conversations and the admission from Gibson himself are pretty damning in this case. And due to the high visibility of this case due to his celebrity, the evidence is right out there.

I assign 100% of the blame for beating and choking a woman who is holding a baby to the person doing the choking. Regardless of what went on between them before, during or after - he was the one doing the choking while she was holding a baby.

I guess its a matter of opinion. I choose to sympathize with the woman being choked in the instance that is being discussed.

I respect your position as being a victim of domestic abuse as well.
