I'd have wished for a The Incredibles sequel first, or even something entirely new, but Pixar is Pixar :D

1. Ugh. Cars '1' was the worst Pixar film of all.

But apparently it prints money for them.

2. It didn't have the snap and crackle of The Incredibles, the wonder of WALL*E

or the elegance of Ratatouille...yeah, weird decision, it is.

3. Although I agree with your assesment of WALL*E and Ratatouille, consider the target audience.

Little kids don't get those movies. They love cars (real ones, toy ones and movies about them). How many WALL*E coloring books have you seen? Not many Ratatouille lunch boxes out there, and even the Incredibles, enjoyable as it was, seemed, by it's humor, to want to appeal to the kids in us big people, not so much the actual kids. Of course, Toy Story is my all-time favorite Pixar film, so what do I know!
