King Confirms He’s In Talks To Write Walking Dead Episode
One of the more intriguing tidbits emerging over the weekend from the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo originated in The Walking Dead panel, where co-star Laurie Holden revealed, “I heard a rumor that Stephen King’s going to write .” Although it may have sounded too good to be true, it turns out it’s more than mere rumor.

The master of horror confirms to Entertainment Weekly that he is, indeed, in talks to write an episode of AMC’s hit zombie series, although it remains to be seen whether it would be for Season 2 or Season 3. It would be a reunion for King and executive producer Frank Darabont, who’s directed three films based on the author’s work: The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Mist.

But wait! There’s more! King reveals the plan is for him to co-write the episode with his son Joe Hill, bestselling author of Heart-Shaped Box and Horns and writer of the acclaimed comic-book series Locke & Key.

1. Cool
I watched Season 1 while peeking through my fingers. I imagine I will continue to watch that way. :)

I wanna see it...I just don't want to see 'it'.

2. I missed the hit zombie series, but may have to tune in (when
I have cable again) on your advice. And your tag line? Awesome. Now I have to go figure out who said that. :) Some old dude, I bet.

5. I watched them all online. I don't even have cable.
The show was a bit uneven from episode to episode, but even so it was still really good fun. I'm biased towards anything zombie related (watched another zombie flick at 4 this morning lol), but this really is better than average. The uneven part came from them having numerous writers last year all tackling individual episodes. They fired all the writers (how often do you see that with a smash hit?), but they seem to be doing the same thing this year, using multiple writers. I think it hurts the show overall, but having Stephen King pen an episode can't be a bad thing (he and producer Frank Darabont have teamed up before on The Shawshank Redemption, The Mist, etc).

Because it's on cable they are getting away with a fair amount of gore though. It's not over the top compared to most of the movies, but it's still bloodier than anything else on tv, so if that stuff bothers you it might be worth watching Disney instead. ;)

My sig line is from Epicurus, brother of Manicurus and Nohopeforacurus. :)
