Wow, hard to believe this is the same guy that played Johnny Storm in the crappy Fantastic Four movies. I thought he was going to be a simply horrible choice but it looks like he might be pulling it off.

3. Easier if it is set in the 1940s
Hitler, Red Skull make for good villians that both liberals and conservatives can hate.

After he is put in deep freeze and thawed out??? Remember the controversy about the Superman reboot - "Truth, justice and all that stuff." That line alone sunk the reboot (not to mention the script writing was awful - continuity??? what was going on - so when Lois and Clark were intimate in the second movie and her mind was later wiped by Superman - the kid was a product of that union?? Talk about all sorts of ethical challenges. A possible timeline -

A. Immediately after events of Superman II, Superman goes to view the remnants of Krypton.
B. Almost immediately after he leaves, Lois starts a relationship with Cyclops (or the actor who also plays Cyclops)
C. Kid is born and Lois first thinks it is Cyclops??
D. As kid proves itself to not be quite normal, she concludes Superman must have done something (perhaps something like what Larry Niven proposes in "Man of Steel - Woman of Kleenax"
E. Superman returns and reboot starts.

Will Captain America have an underaged Bucky? Recent movies have steered clear of the underage sidekick who can get killed - tough to justify a young teen carrying a machine gun and being in harm's way.

4. Hinting, as did the blurb at the end of the credits of the first Iron Man,
at an Avengers movie.

Bet the pull all the stops out for it!

7. ah
thanks, didn't know that. Only familiar with '80s era comics, for the most part. Well, and some earlier from collecting.
