1. I was disappointed, too. I usually laugh a lot when watching the show, but
it only made me laugh once in the last episode, when Will attempted to slam dunk a basketball in a portable goal.

I think he'd have more potential if there were more chemistry between himself & Dwight. I don't understand why the writers don't showcase Creed more.

5. If there's anyone who could portray a worse boss than Steve Carrell, it's Will Ferrell
Technically, yes, he's got the role of of 'bad boss' down pat, but he's neglected the likability factor. As much as I fantasized about slapping some sense into Michael Scott, I still felt pangs of empathy at times for a narcissistic character who showed flashes of humanity occasionally. Deangelo Vickers doesn't do that for me; Ferrell hasn't played the character consistently, even in a single episode, and doesn't engender any sort of affection on my part. Ferrell has been all over the place during this brief stint, which looks for all the world like a series of unrelated SNL skits.

9. Its not the fact that he is unlikeable
My favourite charcarters from tv have always been unlikeable, the Great Dr Ramano from ER, Richard Bay from the Practise, even the Texas lawyer from Boston Legal, Tbag from prison break, I just dont think will farell was good or his charcarter well written.

6. Farrell honored Jervais' cringe-comedy style.
The unlikeable factor was huge in the British version, not so much in the american one.

10. I thought he was too mean
and relished being mean, David Brent did dumb things, but he never wanted to be a bully.

11. It's like Andy Kauffman anti-comedy.
Sometimes Ferrell's going to be Ron Burgundy.

Sometimes he's going to be way, way, way below expectations.

And it's all part of his master plan.

Anyone who expected him to be over the top on "The Office" hasn't been following his career.

14. He was o.k.
There were some good scenes like the crazy cake eating scene in which both Dwight & Jim knew they had to get him to go.
