UPDATE 10:03 AM PT: Sly did not make it to court this morning -- but his attorney did ... and told the judge Sly is currently being hospitalized for heart issues. The judge ordered Sly to appear on Wednesday instead.

Sly Stone -- leader of the group Sly and the Family Stone -- is slated to appear in an L.A. courtroom today after the singer was arrested for cocaine possession back in April ... TMZ has learned.

Stone -- real name Sylvester Stewart -- was arrested on April 1 ... after LAPD officers say they found freebase cocaine on the 68-year-old during a vehicle search.

TMZ spoke with Sly's attorney, James Silverstein, who tells us Stone was riding in a buddy's camper vehicle with some friends ... when it was pulled over for a routine traffic violation.

10. Those first two seasons were the best

I have the soundtrack "Beauty And The Beast: Of Love And Hope". It's an incredibly romantic album. I met Ron Perlman during a Hellboy event and told him that the album was a great one to make out to and he looked me straight in the eye and said jokingly, "I'm glad I helped you get laid." We laughed our asses off.

He told you that?! LOL. I've seen videos of him and he seems to joke around a lot. I love him. He is a REAL actor and not like some of the others out there that get more praise for their acting ability.

Didn't have time for long conversation because there were about 500+ people in line for the signing, but I made the most of it. Told Guillermo Del Toro how much I liked Chronos, Ron Perlman was in that movie too, that also got a smile from him. All in all, it was a great experience, and I got a multi-autographed copy of Hellboy to show for it. :-)

I saw this video of the ComicCon convention where some reporter was interviewing him and the reporter said he really enjoyed BATB and Perlman jokingly asked if the reporter had a feminine side. He also mentioned at the convention that the food sucked and the drinks were watered down but otherwise he was having a good time. LOL.

He looks like a serious guy but he's quite funny.

Very classy guy. I've seen lots of videos on YT of Perlman out there but I'm only halfway done to view them all. In that speech, he thanked his wife, mother and daughter. I guess his son was an infant then. His son is very tall and looks just like him. Very handsome. And a beautiful daughter.
