anybody like "Louie?"
It can be pretty offensive. But it's funny as hell.

Louis C.K. writes, directs, acts, and edits. (Literally, on his laptop.)

I saw where he is nominated as "best actor in a comedy." I'd say he's a long-shot.

The show, and Louis' comedy in general, are dark and bitter. Somehow, it comes out funny!

The show is on FX. (Sorry it's a Murdoch company.) I know that for sure. I think new episodes come on Thursdays. But I'm not sure about that.

They've been showing last season on Saturday nights.

1. Seems like he's trying to copy the Seinfeld formula
real life of a stand up comic or whatever. Some episodes definitely work better than others, but I don't think Louie is going to come close to being the "new Jerry", if that's what he's going for.

11. Yeah, great show....
Much darker than Seinfeld (the obviously precursor to what this show is doing). He reminds me of a less snarky Bill Maher. Basically liberal at his core and in his beliefs, but still skirting those edges of discussing taboo topics in a very dark and honest manner.

The opening segment to the one show where there were a bunch of comedians sitting around playing poker and the one gay comedian discusses with them all why the use of "faggot" is offensive was one of the most honest, direct discussions of that subject I've ever seen portrayed. It was done lightly enough that it was still in sync with a comedy show but the actual explanation wasn't mocking or slight at all.

13. Louie, Louie?
Great tune. Even my high school garage band could play that one. Well...we did until the chaperones at the post-game dance made us stop playing it. I can't remember which of the verses it was that disturbed their early 1960s sensibilities, though.

I love love love Louie. Dark humor - yes, but oh so funny. I also love Wilfred that precedes it on Thursday nights.
