William Shatner Returns with “Iron Man” Cover

In the seven years since he released Has Been, the people have requested – nay, demanded – another William Shatner album. You can only replay that “Rocket Man” video so many times before you need something fresh. Well, as we mentioned back in February, that comes in the form of his metal space-themed covers album (that’s the awesome album art up there). Now we’ve got our first listen, in the form of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man.” It even features ex-Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde shredding away.

Shatner’s “Iron Man” isn’t an instant classic in either the good or the bad sense. The music is pretty faithful and Shatner’s delivery is…well, it’s closer to on-the-beat than he sometimes gets. Still, this remains an instantly identifiable William Shatner production, which gives its own charm. Stream “Iron Man” below and get excited for 17 more tracks like this come October 11th. coherent) He's amazing.

2. Whilst I'm sure both Mr Shatner
and his warblings are clinically fascinating, was the Science forum the desired target or is it just accidental collateral damage from the Entertainment forum???

3. The Science forum was the desired target.
I'm particularly looking forward to this track:
"She Blinded Me With Science feat. Bootsy Collins & Patrick Moraz (Yes/Moody Blues)"

With the retirement of the Space Shuttle fleet, we should remember that the first Space Shuttle was named after Star Trek's Starship Enterprise:
A write-in campaign by Trekkies to President Gerald Ford asked that the orbiter be named after the Starship Enterprise, featured on the television show Star Trek.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Shuttle_Enterprise

The Space Shuttle Enterprise (NASA Orbiter Vehicle Designation: OV-101) was the first Space Shuttle orbiter. <snip>

Construction began on Enterprise on June 4, 1974.<2> Designated OV-101, it was originally planned to be named Constitution and unveiled on Constitution Day, September 17, 1976. A write-in campaign by Trekkies to President Gerald Ford asked that the orbiter be named after the Starship Enterprise, featured on the television show Star Trek. Although Ford did not mention the campaign, the president—who during World War II had served on the aircraft carrier USS Monterey (CVL-26) that served with USS Enterprise (CV-6)—said that he was "partial to the name" and overrode NASA officials.<3><4>
