You look at the Red Carpet gallery of stars arriving for the Emmys on Yahoo, and you ask who in dog's name are these people? Granted I don't watch much of tv other than TNT, USA and TCM but wow. I am so out of the loop. FYI..red is the gown color this year.

2. I know what you mean. I do take pride, however in enjoying

last night's repeat of SNL with Justin Timberlake hosting and Lady Gaga performing brilliantly, and I didn't feel too old for it. I also died laughing over the music video they wrote with Andy Sandler in the style of "Cock in a Box" they did last time JT was hosting. It was a scream with the theme that a threesome with two guys and a gal isn't gay. I think I'm pretty progressive for a 53 year old mom.

And selecting a new movie to watch is especially difficult because I generally choose according to which actors are in it.

4. I was just thinking that as I looked thru Netflix films last night.

And realized I do not know who 2/3 of the "stars" are in the movies.
Have no clue who most of the blond bimbos are.

And the stars I do know are over 60, most of them.

5. took mom to see Star Wars back in the 1970s.

When Princess Leia showed up I told her, "That's Debbie Reynolds' daughter".

So she could relate to somebody older that was an actress she knew about. :D
