Have others seen "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World"?
Very good movie. Love story dramedy with a science fiction premise. Which is to say, an honestly-funny end-of-the-world tale wrapped around the romance.

And without the asteroid-strike special effects. At the end, two loud reports then a fade to intense white -- much more haunting than any special effects could possibly be.
