BEWARE JUNE 2, 2006...
As most of you are aware, George W. Bush is planning to bomb Nevada on June 2, 2006 in preparation for a nuclear attack on Iran. This is madness. We must have our voices heard in all ways possible DAILY against this.

In response to a call by Randi Rhodes to wear peace/anti-war messages, I've created 3 new sections in my online t-shirt/bumpersticker/etc. Two of the sections honor peace-moms and peace-dads everywhere and a third has the simple message "TEAM PEACE" in rainbow and other colors. Also, Kyndculture has created a new web site, "Armbands for Peace". Here is the email I received from her about this important movement (link included):
----------------------------
::Welcome to the Resistance::

On April 17, 2006 Randi Rhodes (syndicated Liberal talk show host) made
the suggestion that we need to start a wearing armbands to show our
resistance the dangerous warmongering Bush administration. We are all
terrified he's about to start a nuclear war with Iran. It's past time to
protest daily. So a few of her listeners got together and we decided to
start the Armbands for Peace movement. A silent daily protest by wearing
a simple black armband that says "NO WAR" on your arm. Wear it to work,
to school, to the store, everywhere. Spread the word about the armbands.
There are more of us than them, so let's get this going. NO WAR!! No
more death. We hooked up with an embroidery house and have ordered these
fabric armbands that are stitched in white thread. They are available on
our website for $5.00 (proceeds will benefit Goldstar Families for Peace
& Paralyzed Veterans of America) or if you don't want to buy one of
these make your own - get creative, but wear it EVERY SINGLE DAY! We
need thousands of people wearing these everyday. Until we start seeing
them all over the country! A simple statement of free speech - use it or
lose it! Please help us spread the word!!

Let your voices be heard/read and spread the word! Thanks. Peace.

1. Is anyone planning to be downwind of the test range
with geiger counters?

After the massive press this 'test' is getting, everyone is expecting a big bang. It would be easy for them to sub in a bunker-busting nuke for the explosive that they say they're detonating (and for what purpose, they've never made clear -- it's too much explosives to be transported to any target so there is no point to testing the effects of such an explosion).

2. I'd like to know the answer to this too....
Apparently the actual targe is only 90 miles north (i think) of Las Vegas. Any volunteers? (Kidding)

Also, are there any other protest ideas? I noticed on another board a woman suggested the low-cost way might be tying black ribbons to car antennae, arms or backpacks/purses in solidarity.

Any others?
