Start a T-Shirt String for the Experience

A T-Shirt String starts with one artistic soul. Someone that creates an original t-shirt design and then sends it off on a journey of self discovery and transformation.

A person starts a t-shirt string by creating a t-shirt design that they like enough to purchase for themselves. Then, they send their design's link to friends and associates. These people modify the design to their liking, purchase the shirt, and send the link further on.

From the modest beginning of a single design, a whole web of related designs can be developed in a short period of time. The original design will transform over and over again as it goes from one domain to another. What happens when the original designer receives an email from someone that they do not know containing a recognizable version of their art? What if it is from a friend and it is known to be from their original art but it is totally unrecognizable? What then? Links are sent by choice but, art is very personal. It can be a real experience.

Of course, the person that starts a string must be a strong enough individual to handle the stark realities and unique insights that will be exposed once a web has been developed around their original artwork and after their art has gone through so many transformations. A person that starts a t-shirt string should be prepared for the experience.

Once a design is sent out to begin a t-shirt string, it’s fate is in the wind. What you can count on is having the experience and having t-shirts you like. Everything else is left up to fate.
