Looking for Great Nature Photography
I have to plug my Brother-in-laws site which is in my sig line. He and his wife do excellent work and I am proud to have some of it hanging in my house.

They have a great site and you should drop by and browse once in a while. Here's one of their shots....

It's good stuff done by a couple of true Democrats.......

6. F8 and be there!
I did some amateur sports shots a few years ago but never did any nature/wildlife...... sports was great because you had to anticipate "the moment" you wanted to capture and be ready for it to happen....... Wildlife is more....serendipity?

Being there

But (on edit) I've missed more great shots than I've gotten. 'Bout ten years ago, at the John Heinz Refuge -- otherwise known as Tinicum, Philadelphia's unique urban wildlife sanctuary -- I saw a red-tail hawk strike the pond surface and take a big, gold carp -- damn, it happened so fast I could no more get a camera on it than fly up there with the red-tail -- It would have been a great picture, but you could have waited years and not gotten it.

Sometimes it's not enough to be there ....

8. There are times
when events overtake response time.....

I know, I've had it happen to me also.
