Hemp Oil & Tea Tree Soap

I make these for friends and family over the holidays, and I'd be glad to make a few extra bars for DU'ers.

Hemp oil has vitamins A, D and E, enzymes and Omega 3 and 6, plus essential fatty acids. It's a terrific moisturizer and extremely gentle on the skin. I add Tea Tree essential oil for its natural healing properties. I don't add artificial colors, since the hemp oil gives this soap a beautiful green translucent finish. No artificial fragrances, either. The Tea Tree has a naturally refreshing woodsy, spicy scent similar to eucalyptus. If you've used Tea Tree hair or skin products before you know how terrific it is.

I looked up the first class postal rates and it looks like anywhere in the country I can ship the first bar for $2.00 and additional bars for a buck each. I'll put these in a bubble wrap envelope to protect them, although they're pretty indestructable.

6. I also make a lip balm with hemp oil

I give these as a set with the hemp oil soap. Because hemp is so moisturizing it's perfect for lip balm. My nephew, who's a senior at Mizzou, goes through about 10 of these in the winter because he walks so far between classes in the freezing cold weather. For a guy to like it is pretty good.

I combine the hemp oil with coffee butter, which is kind of an unusual item. Coffee butter is produced by hydrogenating the cold pressed oil from roasted coffee beans. The light hydrogenation process creates a butter with a smooth, silky feel. Coffee oil is rich in phytosterols which promote excellent moisture retention and quick penetration in the skin. It's a perfect lip balm ingredient, and as a plus since it's made from freshly-roasted coffee it tastes like it as well.

I also add cocoa butter for a silky mocha flavor. As with the soap, the natural ingredients are in perfect harmony and I don't add artificial flavors or colors.

I make a ton of these in November to get everyone through the winter. I label and shrink wrap the .15 oz tubes and they make great stocking stuffers. I can make a few more and offer them for $2.00 per tube, or for multiple orders I can offer 5 tubes for $8.50 and 10 tubes for $16.00. PM me if you'd like to pay by check or PayPal.
