For sale -- fun vintage 50's - 60's cookbooks and pamphlets on food
I don't know if anyone has an interest in these but I've got a box full and I'm working on getting them all up on eBay.

http://myworld.ebay.com/artsy_dallas_girl

This is my first time selling on eBay so if you see anything I'm doing wrong let me know! I would be happy for suggestions! If they don't sell I'll batch them up as a lot and try them that way. Thanks!

5. I collect cookbooks & have some from the 40s & 50s & 60s that are just a scream.
There's an ebay group. Lots of good advice. You couldn't sell it in the group, but if you run into trouble I bet they would help.

Hope you make tons of money!

7. Your site looks very nice.
A nitpick: you have condition as "new" and these are used even if they are mint. You may want to add that you will combine shipping if more than one item is purchased. I have found that often leads to multiple sales to one bidder if the cost per item is reduced. Also, if you are using media rate shipping I would make that clear somewhere in the description. At this time of year, media rate can be painfully slow, and it's best if the bidder knows ahead of time not to expect fast delivery.

GOOD LUCK!!

14. It looks like about 80-100 or so recipies
About 100 pages, but the first bit of it is instructions for the pressure cooker.

About 10 pages of meats, 3-4 recipes per page. About 2 pages of beans. Various stews (which are called "combinations") and also poultry and game. Including squirrel. :D

18. Well, it specifies a 4 quart cooker
Don't know what you'll be getting but of course you could adjust quantities. Also, bear in mind it's from the 50s so they're pretty straightforward things -- no "ethnic" flavor, heat, or oddball spices that nobody had heard of ("CUMIN? What's CUMIN, Martha?" Hee.) It's a pretty retro little book. :) That said, the stews look pretty hearty and appetizing, maybe that's just because it's winter. :) I'd try some of these (if I had a pressure cooker).

Some of the stews:
- Hungarian Goulash
- Meatballs with rice
- Meat cabbage rolls
- Lamb stew
- Fricassee of Chicken

i`ve have some jewel-t newsletters that are cool. you may have better luck selling them in a lot and your prices are just about right for opening bid. if i had extra money i`d be bidding....

17. best of luck!
The only suggestion I might make is that to avoid paying eBay a fee for listing every modestly priced cookbooklet, you might put them in small lots. If you sell one of these for 99 cents, a good portion of that is going to eBay.

I hope you do well. When I started on eBay years ago, I sold 70 percent of everything I listed, but it isn't that good now. Still, you can make some money off something that was just sitting around.

21. another hint is to sign up at the Post Office's site and have the mailman
pick up your stuff. you can buy the postage online, print it out and at the same time set up a pick up from your mail carrier

27. That "Canned Meat Magic" booklet caught my eye, but
I'll have to think about it. I'll bet the illustrations are to die for. We have had several discussions on Cooking & Baking about those lurid illustrations from vintage cookbooks.
