It’s either this or staring into public bathroom stalls.

No joke--I lost both my job and my car last week. And since unemployment claims I owe them money, it would be foolhardy to count on my application being approved. The good news is that I've generated two extremely promising job opportunities. The bad news is that neither can be reached by public transportation.

Things are so bad I was seriously considering coming here and asking for donations. But first I went to the DU Marketplace to see if there were some real work at home jobs out there. I came across a couple threads containing online stores, and I figured that I've won enough DUzy awards to be able come up with ideas for buttons and bumper stickers. So I did (in half a day because my lights could go out at any second). More important, I can now ask for donations without embarrassing either of us because I’ll have earned them. Why, that's enough to make even a Republican proud.

So here’s the store, named Below The Beltway. Please buy something because I desperately need at least the promise of the money. If you like the buttons enough to order a hundred, that can be arranged.

Thank you, wish me luck and let's hear it for pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps.

1. If you lost your job then it must be time for another DU fundraiser drive.
That's how it works, right?

Sorry to hear about that, dude.

6. Thanks. Prices start at only two bucks.
