Searching for: AT&T cordless answering system.
Model 9450. It is a simple phone/answering machine without all the bells and whistles. Do any of you have one you no longer use? I bought mine in Feb 2004 and it has been a great machine.

If you have one and it is in good running condition, I'd love to talk with you about buying it.

Mine still works but the number 8 on the keypad no longer engages without several attempts. I've searched everywhere on line, including e-bay and cannot find a replacement. I'd rather not buy a new phone and pay for functions I do not need.

1. There are similar replacements available...
I spent $45 last week for a cordless with digital answering system. After fighting an intermittantly failing "1 (ABC)" key for months I finally broke down and bought a new one.

2. I may have to do the same thing, would you share the name and
model number of the one you bought? Is it just a nice simple appliance? From a national chain like Best Buy, Target or similar?
Thanks

3. I recently bought a Panasonic
KX-TG4322B, probably at Best Buy. It's a simple cordless phone/answering machine with a second handset that just needs to be plugged into the wall. I love it. I recently moved to a 2-bedroom apartment, probably 900 square feet, and I wanted the two phones and this ws the simplest and cheapest way to do it. I wish I could recall how much I paid, but surely it was less than $50.00. Wait, let me do a little research . . . . Okay, I found it on the Best Buy website for $59.99. Perhaps they were running a special, perhaps I actually paid that much. If all you want is a single cordless phone with a built in answering machine, I'm sure you can get one much cheaper than the expandable version. I've always been happy with Panasonic.
