This is a question about a paying internship...One I would dearly love to get even if it didn't pay

Has anyone hear ever worked as an intern for Media Matters, or know someone who has?

The Right Wing slant in almost ALL of our media (Keith and Rachel aside, of course) is the thing which drives me NUTS!...It would be the joy of my life if I could work against it!

One question I have: I notice that most internships these days, seem to want STUDENTS...don't know if this applies to Media Matters and I hope not because I'm past those days...In fact -- dare I say it?...I'm over forty!..but I have guts, passion, and intelligence and I can work just as hard as any of those kids!

One more problem: I don't have much of a political resume...I have worked as a precinct committeeman in two states, but that's about it. For what it's worth -- and that's probably little -- I spend HOURS each day just signing petitions and composing emails calling out the Presstitutes on Cable and network news.

nor known anyone who was. but i think you should just apply and let the chips fall where they may. play up your involvement in local politics and see where it leads. good luck!
