I had to pry the cards out of my mother's hands, ) because she did not want to part with them, (she has many more of them). They are really beautiful and I've not seen anything like it.

And to all who supported me with my barrettes I've gotten better and some are up here now.

1. Pretty! I once got a barette that was basically papier mache layers topped with some

decoupage and then sealed in some sort of clear lacquer. I wish I knew where it was. Haven't seen it in years. :(

2. That is kind of what I have done with some of them. Never thought about

ripping up the paper but that sounds fun. I have to put on several coats of sealer as it is to keep the paper hard. I've been experimenting. I feel like a mad scientist sometimes.


EDIT: I just looked and only the one on the far right is paper and sealant. I'm going to try and get a few more up tonight.
