Obama & Jesus
Hey, GOP: Obama a socialist? Really? You must be thinking of Jesus!

Products based on one of the best protest signs ever (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=243198&mesg_id=252711):

1. Did you realize that a lot of the merchandize at this "zazzle" site is
anti Obama also? I wouldn't spend my money there. Nope.

2. Think of it as a flea market.
Many independent people have their booths set up there. Some agree with you politically, some don't. With most, however, it doesn't matter -- they're just artists.

The flea market simply provides the booth space for all of them. In the case of Zazzle, they also provide the products on which the shopkeepers' messages and art are printed, and that's how they make their money.

So, you wouldn't go to a flea market because there are some conservative booths selling stuff alongside progressive booths? The progressive shopkeepers -- and there are many of them -- are trying to earn some extra income through their shops there. You'll find a lot of Zazzlers posting here at the DU Marketplace, and if you buy anything from them it does not benefit the conservative shopkeepers at all. On the contrary, your Zazzle patronage would surely benefit your fellow Dems.

As for Zazzle, they just sell blank products. The shopkeepers are, in essence, contracting with Zazzle. We let them print our designs on their stuff, and they let us maintain a shop on their site. It's that simple. And the shop space and marketing tools, by the way, are free.

6. Speaking as a Zazzler...
I do take pause at those who work both sides of the political fence. I understand you make twice the cash if you're selling to conservatives AND liberals, but...I don't know. I'd feel dirty doing that.

I run a purely liberal/progressive store myself. Weirdest compliment I got was from a fellow Zazzler who was ONE-HALF of a team. Same store, but one person created liberal gear, the other conservative gear. I got the impression they were a couple. Shades of Carville and Matalin!

Most of us, though, sell only one kind or the other. People do misuse tags a lot, though, so if you're searching for something about Obama, you'll find a lot of anti-Obama stuff as well. You just gotta sift through it. It's worth it. Some people at Zazzle are selling junk, but other people there are very, very, very good.

8. I feel the same as you.
I just don't take pause, I refuse to give them a penny. And a lot of the stuff I see on the site in the OP, any Dem would find offensive, let alone a liberal.

3. An improvement would be
To either take away brown-skinned or leave it in and put in something like "Religious Outsider." No one's arguing if he's brown-skinned or not, but the religious outsider (or something similar) would speak to the "Secret Muslim" crowd.

I appreciate the feedback.

Perhaps "foreign-born" is another possibility?
