They seems to be marketed primarily to African-Americans, but I find that they hold my thin straight hair very well.

fussed with your hair, but you can throw them on as easily as a rubberband. I am astonishingly fumble-fingered. I can't tie off the end of a thread, or a balloon..My
head would explode if I tried it myself..

I can buy them with wooden beads, (some of them pretty fancy for about $30 - $50) But I would REALLY like to have some with turquoise beads, or cats-eye beads, or other gemstone-type beads in various colors.
