Pat Robertson predicts death to Americans in 2007
Just a news story I found on ABC News:

Apparently, in late 2007 there will be a "mass killing" of Americans and "that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack" according to evangelical broadcaster Pat Robertson.
Robertson claims God has told him this fact, yet Robertson give little comfort or solution to the impending attack! :sarcasm:

read the story and more outrageous claims by Robertson:

3. And of course, Pat and/or God are never wrong:
Robertson suggested in January 2006 that God punished then-Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon with a stroke for ceding Israeli-controlled land to the Palestinians.

The broadcaster predicted in January 2004 that President Bush would easily win re-election.

Bush won 51 percent of the vote that fall, beating Democratic Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts.

In 2005, Robertson predicted that Bush would have victory after victory in his second term. He said Social Security reform proposals would be approved and Bush would nominate conservative judges to federal courts.

Lawmakers confirmed Bush's 2005 nominations of John Roberts and Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. But the president's Social Security initiative was stalled.

"I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."

In May, Robertson said God told him that storms and possibly a tsunami were to crash into America's coastline in 2006.

Even though the U.S. was not hit with a tsunami, Robertson on Tuesday cited last spring's heavy rains and flooding in New England as partly fulfilling the prediction.

If there was such a thing, I'd say he loves messing with Pat.

Welcome to Du Syd! :hi:

21. "Sometimes I miss"?
"I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."

But Pat, you say God tells you these things! How can you "miss"? Does God mumble?

5. Why is Pat's God such a tease?
He tells Pat they'll be an attack, but gives no other details like where, who, and how? What kind of God would do that? Is he pulling Pat's chain?

7. I predict the death of Pat Robertson in 2007
"Major cities and possibly millions of people" will be indifferent to his passing. Several thousand exploited gold and diamond miners employed by Robertson in Africa will mourn the loss of their measly remuneration.

9. still crazy after all these years
It wouldn't seem so detrimental if not for the millions of idiots that hang on every word of this asshole, while sending money to enable him.

Maybe there will be an attack. There's plenty of people who hate us. Predicting one isn't all that much of a stretch. There's been pelnty of terrorirt attacks all over the world. But, saying there will be one is a lot like predicting rainfall during winter, "It might rain tomorrow... or it might not". But, telling people G*d told him so should be criminal. There you go, though - giving religious wack jobs the right to say and do any damn thing they please without any accountability.

13. If there is an attack
It'll be another false flag job, courtesy of the Shrub.
The 'cons have a vast collection of undesirables eager to strike a blow for Gawd.
That's the same deity to which PNAC and Mr Robertson have been praying for a strike for years.

19. Why is god doing this?
Somehow, god believes we elected Bush. She doesn't understand modern politics. I'm like Pat, I talk to god but she speaks ancient Aramaic and most times i have no idea what's being said.

He is talking straight to god and the best he can do is "relatively good track record"?

Maybe he needs to switch to that cell phone company that has the fewest dropped calls.:)

Why do you suppose god would feed him misinformation?

24. If such an attack happens, can we arrest Robertson for having knowledge before the fact?
I mean, only a co-conspirator could have known about the attacks months before they happened, right?

he is even too loony for the fundies, his power and influence greatly diminished from what it once was.

about this man that would be charitable or nice. He's truly a megalomaniac, and a dangerous influence upon Christianity in this country. It sickens me that he's considered a spiritual leader.
