"I am the light of the world" - Orbs of Light Filmed in Texas Church (film clip)
Edited on Sun Mar-04-07 12:10 AM by Dover
(CBS 11 News) HALTOM CITY Last year, many people responded to reports of strange light orbs appearing at Haltom City's Riverwalk Fellowship Church. One year later, more evidence has come to light, this time with international implications.

Riverwalk Church is lead by Senior Pastor Steve Solomon, a Messianic Jew. A Messianic Jew is a Jew who believes that Jesus is the messiah.

The orbs appeared while people worshiped inside the church. "Almost everyone would just take a picture, and these orbs of light would show up," Solomon said.

..snip..

The video had been taken by a teenage boy. An orb of light appears to be traveling from a woman's feet, through her body and out of her head...cont'd

Similar in appearance to Marfa lights and those spotted/filmed around crop circles. Hmmmm...

1. yeah i often get orbs of light when i take pictures indoors
when it happens unintentionally it's a screw-up and not a very good comment on my photography skills

but if you can't make light orbs appear on a photo by playing with the lighting, you ain't trying

sometimes i actually try to deliberately cause them and get some neat effects that way

but really it's like motion blur effects, you can do it arty sometimes but mostly it's blurred because you screwed up

if these people think their poor photography skills are evidence of invisible magic cloud beings...that is just pathetic and sad

4. None of the religious freaks are going to pay any attention to your
sound clinical observations, unfortunately.

2. This is nothing new, but very interesting.
I have digital photos taken at my daughter's wedding in a Congregational Church last April. Orbs over her head as she walks down the isle, and huge orbs over the couple and the minister at the alter. We have shots in the receiving line with so many orbs, and so large and bright you can barely see the bride and groom! The reception was in the fellowship hall of the Church, and there are orbs all over the place. Some on family members heads, some between the couples lips as they kissed. I found it all a little freaky 'til I did some research on it. I first tried Google and got many hits, and I just recently went to one of our forums here at DU and found a good thread discussing them. Try the Religion Forum.

3. So some folks have light blobs in their photos? It would be more of a miracle ...
... if we would all sell everything we have to feed the poor

5. These things have been proved false by real ghost hunters
If you have ever watched any of the paranormal sites on TV you will see where these type of things have been proven staged so often.

If these people are going to stage a "orb" don't you think they could be more professional at it.

6. I've actually photographed orbs before
I've gotten a couple of really good "orb" photos before at known haunted areas. I do believe that 99% of what people think are "orb" photos are easily dismissed as dust particles or fakes.
