Stonington Reverend's Teen-drinking Case Continued To August
Published on 7/8/2008
The court case of a Stonington rector accused of providing alcohol to minors at a graduation party at his home has been continued to Aug. 4.
The Rev. Mark Robinson, 50, was due in court Monday for his second appearance on charges of delivery of alcohol to minors, second-degree reckless endangerment and permitting minors to possess alcohol.
Robinson was excused from court because Stonington police have not completed their investigation of the June 1 incident and his attorney, Paul Chinigo, needs time to review information provided by the state.
The longtime rector of the Calvary Episcopal Church in Stonington Borough was arrested June 1 after two intoxicated teenage girls were taken to the hospital from a party at his house on Barnes Road.
