This is a website I ran across put up by a guy who was a marine on 9/11 and in trying to learn about the threat to his country, Islam, became a Muslim.

He has some really great post there and of course he lets the ranting lunatics on the far right post, which unfortunately gives a accurate portrayal of America today. It is something that Americans are going to have to face at sometime or another, that while everyone likes to think of themselves as the good guys, there clearly today are some elements within America society today who are just plain evil and dangerous.

9/11 changed peoples whole context of their world and put them in an extreme emotional state, is it any wonder that people latched on to ideologies like religion and nationalism?
