8. Are overweight people eating more than their fair share and thus evil?
What about people of ideal weight who exercise much more than average? They could exercise less and eat less. Are they taking more than their fair share?

4. Evil is defined by each person
in a different way--and to some, there is no evil, only lack of understanding.

5. We Must All Consider the Words of Jesus
"Consider the lilies of the field..."

"Consider the birds of the air..."

All this worrying about a place to live and what to eat is seriously anti-Christian.

If you look at 1 Tim 6:10 (to which you are referring), the Greek word used is avarice or greed (philaguria). The Jerome vulgate translate it as cupiditas. Cupiditas by that time came to mean disordered/excessive love or lust.

But of course it's just easier to snipe at people's beliefs than offer a solution. Just saying.

the "authorized" King James version "was authorized by God." I doubt that they would accept your solution.

However, if your solution is correct, then I would hope that modern English translations would include at least a footnote to make your point. Alternatively, they could revise the wording in the main text if they are currently using the "love of money" phrasing.

Why should drawing attention to this issue be characterized as "sniping"? English language Bibles are not normally distributed with prominent labels warning readers that the translation might be inaccurate.
