Is God A Terrorist?

I know what my fundy family is thinking. A hurricane is an act of God. Ergo, just like with the Tsunami, "God must have been trying to tell them people something."

But isn't that the same thing as being a terrorist? Using violence to force submission?

Allah Wa Tahala, God Almighty's message in this hurricane is that our government and resident at the white house are arrogant, classist self serving murderous bastards who respect and worship nothing but money.

And it was they who sacrificed those thousands lives to a disaster they knew was going to happen, when it was the Almighty who had already given us, as a people, the resources, compassion and knowledge to move those people to safety.

Who here, if in a position to do so, wouldn't have done all they could to get those people out of there beforehand, then supplied their needs afterward?

That's because we here, both believers and non believers in a divinity still value the sacredness of human life, even, I'm sure, at our own inconvenience and sacrifice.

We believe not in a "Culture of life" but in a "Sacredness of life".

And in my mind at least, that makes everyone here (including atheists :) ) on this board much more "Godly" people than the vermin in charge now.

Please continue to pray and act to help those in need in NO and elsewhere. And please make Dua, prayer, for regime change in this country.

7. We may never know God's purpose in this disaster or others, but

in the New Testament God KILLED a couple for lying to the Holy Spirit (Ananias and Sapphira). In the OT, God wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah for their evil. And there is the whole issue of the plagues against Egypt and the Pharoah. God killed every first-born son in Egypt except those covered by the blood. And of course, Jesus Christ had to die to save us from our sins.

It appears that God understands the use of violence. Even in Proverbs, we are told that sparing the rod spoils the child.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Matt 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Given that terrorists attempt to spread fear but can only kill our bodies, maybe God is worse than a terrorist -- from a certain perspective.

13. The Dominionists worship a "god" who is a monster

The Dominionists believe that they must initiate a War of Armegeddon. Their "god" is a god of condemnation & judgement. It is a war god for barbarians, who brags about creating the world, when he has never created anything but misery.

I see nothing Christian about them. Indeed, they do every single thing that Jesus told them NOT to do, (see The Sermon on the Mount). We do ourselves & the world a great dis-service, whenever we call them Christians, because they are not. Their actions betray the fact that what they actually worship, are the powers & princes of this world, the destroyer of all that is sacred, beautiful, & true.

destroyer. He destroyed all living things except Noah and his family and pairs of various creatures. God was the bad cop and Jesus was the good cop. The entire saga of the OT and NT is a strange series of tall tales.
In my view, people that believe in an interactive God are delusional.
