In Vatican City, do police respond better than church authorities to abuse of kids by priests?

I ask because I don't know how to go about obtaining reliable information. Does anyone have any reliable information or idea of how to obtain reliable information?

1. The Vatican has their own police force I believe

And the Swiss Guard are also there.

Italian and Rome police have no jurisdiction.
Vatican is its own city/state.
