New Ala. gov: Just Christians are his family

This defies comment. It is idiots like this who make it hard for ALL Christians.

"Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley told a church crowd just moments into his new administration that those who have not accepted Jesus as their savior are not his brothers and sisters, shocking some critics who questioned Tuesday whether he can be fair to non-Christians.

"Anybody here today who has not accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, I'm telling you, you're not my brother and you're not my sister, and I want to be your brother," Bentley said Monday, his inauguration day, according to The Birmingham News."

I am her only caregiver and she rides me like a pony over the 'Christian' issue. These people are very ....well I can't think a nice way to put it. It is a sickness. What gives a christian the right to judge others. That right there gets you kicked out of the club, as I understand it!

Put those two figures together, and tell me truly WHICH viewpoint is the "radical" one. (I.e., held by an extreme minority of said group.)

Hitchens, from your own quote, hates RELIGION, not the PEOPLE who follow religion. The Gov. of Alabama does not like PEOPLE who do not follow his religion.

Hopefully, you can see the difference. Hating an idea is very different from hating people.
