Atheists: Still worse than Muslims
According to Democrats. Republicans hate us as much as Muslims.

1. Since I hate Republicans and find them consciousless, punitive freaks, does that cancel that out? nt

I would love to see the results.

6. I'm just grateful for the little things.
We atheists tend to be all dark and twisty like that.

7. I lean that way but get into arguments with agnostics and my youngest is an eclectic pagan
I get a cavity search at the airport because I look like Tommy Chong.

9. That does indeed suck.
At least atheists aren't that easy to pick out of a crowd.

When confronted by hostiles I usually tell them I'm a secular jew, really throws them off.

8. Yet I am reliably informed on DU that atheists suffer no discrimination in the US

Unless of course we want a voice in how the country is run.

As long as we stay in our place and don't mention atheism, we can "pass".

I find it especially poignant to note that ONLY Democrats think we are less desirable than Muslims, and that by a huge margin. Republicans and Independents are a touch more au fait with the godless than the differently-godded.

So much for liberal acceptance.

12. Indeed. Rhetorical of the day: Which do you think would last longer?
1. An atheist who ran for POTUS

2. A snowball in hell

17. Well a bit of an unfortunate hypothetical, but probably 1
As long as they were a rich atheist who was in it for a Nader-like vanity crusade not to win.

Chances of success, assuming Hell's most generally accepted imaginary climate, are exactly equal in both mathematical and figurative concepts.

If Sam Harris somehow cured cancer, proved scientifically he could balance the budget while halving all taxes and reducing unemployment to 1%, solve the Mid-East crisis and eliminate the risk of terrorism, he would still lose the election to Herman Cain.

14. a subset of a subset far from the norm. Why does that matter?
Even the most dedicated here still have to reside in the real world where this attitude is truly reflected.
