2. Well, here's the whole story for you!

This thing always cracks me up too, and I've heard it a bazillion times. At home I have to keep the volume sort of low, or the neighbor's dog starts howling...and the dog is still more in key than the singer.

A guy named Steve Mauldin recorded it to make a point: at this time of year, everybody wants to get up and sing "O Holy Night." In public. But it's a VERY difficult song to sing correctly. So a lot of people end up sounding like him on that No-god-awful (I'm an atheist) recording.

My favorite person in the world, my Mother (May she RIP) was named Marie and that is my middle name. So, in honor of her, I chose Marie and yes, The Blasters made me "double" it. That song always reminds me of her. Thanks for asking and :hi: back at ya!
