Share your thoughts on politics, issues, and current events. No posts about Israel/Palestine, religion, guns, showbiz, or sports unless there is really big news. No conspiracy theories. No whining about DU.

For the newbies, the reason those topics are isolated is because they tend to burst into flamewars which clog GD, and then they spread into other forums and clog those, causing the entire website to melt down.

By keeping those topics isolated, newbies will see the forum name and naively expect intelligent discussion there, unaware that it's a trap where they will be devoured by trolls. Thus there is a constant supply of fresh food for the trolls, and they stay within their pens, happily munching away.

Soapbox has settled down to being just what it was designed to be: an equivalent to GD and GDP combined. A little chaotic at first, but already settled into an interesting place, full of interesting threads.

No trolls to be seen.

I said "R/T" was a dungeon.
And "R" will be a dungeon on DU3.
