McNabb Is Overrated Because He's Black

If you'll recall, this was Rush's major contribution to his short-lived career as an analyst on ESPN last year. Today, in a head to haed duel with Brett Farve, McNabb thoroughly out-played his opponent. McNabb is having a strong MVP season, and his Eagles are clearly the best team in the NFC this season.

But, my point here is that Rush makes these ludicrous, race-based comments on his show every damn day, yet he's considered a serious commentator on major issues.

1. Franken rips Limpballs daily.

It's not too difficult to find examples of Rushbot lying his ass off since he's doing it constantly. How's that for a gig? You just make shit up, call it Excellence in Broadcasting and get paid megamillions for nearly zero effort.

McNabb was rated 147.5 today. Overrated indeed.

2. You get more serious political commentary on the NFL prog in the UK

where the (American) expert was taking the piss out of Limbaugh mercilessly for weeks after his idiocy, and sacking.

They also had a good laugh at the fuss over the MFN trailer. He said something like "it's amazing at the outrage over an actress's bare behind, but they're quite happy with the Air Force doing a fly-over to celebrate the latest city they're napalming".

I'm all for supporting the troops while hating the war, but the little fly-by patriotic air raids that they do before the games are incredibly inane. I can't imagine what the rest of the world thinks of us for these showcases of destructive might before sporting events.

I think getting promptly canned pretty much signifies how seriously they took him.

I haven't heard this since this thread, which also says how seriously mainstream sports media took it.

5. I was just saying last night that McNabb is overrated!

While we were watching the Eagles blow Green Bay out of the water, and I said to my dad, "I guess Limbaugh was right about McNabb being overrated because he's black".

We both got a good laugh out of that.

McNabb has always been awesome, he took the team to the brink of the Super Bowl three times nearly single handed. Now that he has some real weapons he's going all the way. Limbaugh is such a douchebag that he is now taking credit for motivating Donovan to be great.
