Dodgers trade Juan Pierre to White Sox

The Chicago White Sox have acquired outfielder Juan Pierre and cash from the Los Angeles Dodgers for two players to be named.

The club announced the move Tuesday.

Pierre, 32, hit .308 (117-380) with 30 stolen bases, 57 runs and a .365 on-base percentage in 145 games with the Dodgers in 2009.

LA was a better team with Pierre than with Manny. Looks like a salary dump..

I'm sure they will regret this. Juan pierre represents everything that is positive in the game. He never once complained about having to sit. Unfortunately the Dodgers made their own bed when they gave Manny* the option of whether to come back this year. Anything less than a monster year from him won't be enough to wipe the stain away from this mess.

Bonds only came under suspicion in the very latter part of his career. Back when he hit 73 I don't remember any talk about steroids. A lot of people, not just Giants fans, were excited by that year. Those are the kind of things I remember, not the media driven witch hunt that followed soon thereafter.
