Oklahoma's Tiny Gallon shatters the backboard against Gonzaga

The game has (not surprisingly) not gone well for Oklahoma overall, but this was certainly fun to see, even though TG didn't even get his hands on the ball on the play in question.

I don't remember having seen this in college since Darvin Ham, and that was back in the mid '90s.

Jerome Lane, i think his name was. (Although i'm having brainlock on that.)

He was a big, wide guy and he shattered a backboard in a Big East game. I think it was against St. John's.

That happened this past decade.

Boy, when those things go, they really go, don't they. They were filling pails with that glass. Then they had to vacuum the floor to assure all the little pieces were gone.

Pretty amazing.

That was an impressive highlight. I found video of it here, along with a few other backboard breakers (including one I'd never seen before by Michael Jordan).
