A few bowl game pictures
Attended the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl yesterday, and got to watch Air Force spank Houston (finally - first bowl game win for the Falcons in 10 years). It was cold, but thankfully the rain held off until after the game. Here are some pics:

The Falcons had good running game:

A cold, gray day:

The Houston band had the privilege of performing with the Air Force Academy Drum & Bugle Corps:

2. Thanks!
The years I attended (76 - 80) football victories were rare things indeed. Nice to see them finish the season this way. They actually are a better team than their record suggests. They played a pretty tough schedule.

I think I mentioned that to you in an earlier college football thread. They had narrow losses to Navy, TCU, and Utah I believe. All very good teams.

5. Red White and Bluetiful!
Too bad they couldn't fill Amon Carter.

Where the Zoomies wearing those new Nike uniforms?

6. They were
Unfortunately, that bowl game never seems to fill the stadium. It normally doesn't include teams that generate a lot of local interest. The east side of the stands (where the pics were taken from) was jammed - a pretty even spit between Air Force and Houston fans. There are enough AFA grads and families in the area to generate a pretty good turnout.

7. Great pictures
Especially the 1st one!

Great wins for both Air Force and Navy this bowl season.
