1. Your Packers are heading home

2. Two out of the last 4 years the NFC rep in the SB has come from the NFC West.

9. Sorry about the loss, I was pulling hard for the Packers.
Nice to see that facemask penalties are apparently a thing of the past...Still, you've got a bright future with Rodgers under center, he came up big several times today. And your guys certainly played better than the other wild card weekend losers, including my embarrassing Eagles.

18. Facemask

There was also a helmet to helmet hit on Rodgers in that series.

20. Jesus I've never seen so much whining about facemasks
Have you never heard of a ref missing a call? It happens. To both sides. Time to grow up and move on.

23. I think the ref saw the face mask but was too chicken shit to call it
Didn't want to enrage the crowd.

Of course I have no way of knowing. Just seemed rather flagrant.

30. Right, cuz the refs always call games based on how fans react.

6. Niners are on their way back..
2009 saw the end of their 6 year streak of losing seasons. Maybe not a big deal, but progress nonetheless.

5. You had to be at home watching that one, Upton.
No defense, whatsoever. Just like a PAC-10 match-up.

10. No offense, Upton, but ask the Oregon Ducks. Or Georgia Tech...
The Canes. Let's not forget the LSWho Tigers. Defense wins games, Upton. Always has. Always will.

15. Joke of a game
I appreciated that none of the commentators were hailing it. Trent Dilfer came the closest to mocking it, which would have been proper.

By far the biggest winner is the overtime rule. That will stand pat for at least a decade. Any argument toward both teams receiving the ball is immediately crushed by this example, nothing but offense then won by the defense.

Bob Costas and Jim Nantz and other pathetic proponents of both teams getting the ball were no doubt horrified by the result.

for the first week of the playoffs every year.
