New York Yankees contribute $500K to Haiti relief
The Yankees donated $500,000 in support of rescue and relief efforts following the tragic earthquake in Haiti, the club announced Wednesday.

"The catastrophic event has devastated an entire nation and will have far-reaching effects in the worldwide Haitian community," the Yankees said in a statement. The Yankees hope their donation will inspire people throughout the United States to do everything they can to aid the people of Haiti in their time of need.

2. Nice Post
First, Mr. Steinbrenner is suffering from dimentia. Second, the Yankees make a large donation, bigger than any other sports organization, and all you can do is make fun of an elderly man who is ill.

You should be proud of yourself.

4. Thank you to the Yankee organization. I hope that many more organizations
step up to the plate. I remember a tragic loss to MLB after another earthquake in the early 70's, and the support MLB gave that country, also.
