Why has the otherwise very Republican District 4 in NC been represented by a Dem since 1986?

Because Dean helped David Price get elected. Even though Price worked for Duke at the time.

That's just one of many examples of things Dean has done for progressives.

The fact that Dean hasn't coached UNC in over a decade is a mere technicality.
