9. I was!!
Actually, I wasn't, but I would pick the women...I don't think the men will win the NIT...not sure who, but it won't be UNC either.

13. For the women, yeah...UConn is likely gonna win.
Don't really care about the NIT. My alma mater - St. John's - is in it, but I doubt that they'll get very far.
I'm surprised they even made it in.

14. Are you old enough to remember when the NIT actually mattered?
When the NCAA only let in 16 teams, so the NIT got a lot of really good teams to play in it.

15. Not really...
that was what, mid 1980's?
I was born in late 1978, so I wasn't exactly that athletically astute quite yet.
And basketball in general wasn't really of any interest to me until high school.
The first major sporting milestone that I recall being aware of was the 1986 World Series.

17. NOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOO
There was no world series in 1986...it's all a lie!

The NIT was big in the early to mid 1970's.

25. Ok some hints
1. I'm rooting against a Kansas-Kentucky final so my picks reflect that

2. I didn't want 4 #1 seeds in the Final 4. (I have 3)

3. I have the "team" beating Duke on the way there.

About point #3. I used teams Arizona State played against to give me an idea how they would fare. I had to use any or everything to figure out something as difficult as trying to accurately predict what happens so this is a strategy I went with. This explains why I have Notre Dame beating Baylor. ASU played well enough to win but lost by 2. Not to mention they held them to just 54 points. I figure Notre Dame should win based on that. I also have Tennessee beating San Diego St because Arizona State beat SDSU. Now to Duke, they played them at MSG in a tournament early in the season. They played well enough to win the first 30 minutes but last 10 minutes they played sloppy and abused the 3-point shot eventually losing by 11 in the final score. The "team" should be able to beat Duke based on this. If it isn't this team I see Duke in the final 4 so it's down to those two teams.

4. This "team" played Arizona State.

(Shouldn't be too hard to figure out)

27. LOL I have Notre Dame beating Baylor
I mentioned that TWICE to you. I used Baylor as an example of one of my "strategies" for picking winners and since ASU showed they could beat them I imagine ND should be able to. It's somebody else.

Edited on Tue Mar-16-10 07:46 PM by JonLP24
and the topic of this sub-thread is who I got winning the South region which is a little embarrassing to admit. Plus I already mentioned I have Tennessee beating SDSU because ASU beat the Aztecs as part of my "strategy".

Murray St for one but mostly different. I got Kentucky and Kansas in the final 4 but NEITHER in the title game. I think he went over with the upsets like he did last year when he had 10 Temple beating 7 Arizona State in the first round. :D
