Singletary says draft is not about 'one guy'49ers coach Mike Singletary cannot tell a lie. He can't even bring himself to pretend there's "nothing to see here" behind the yellow-taped scene at team headquarters.
So, when asked about now-former general manager Scot McCloughan, Singletary admitted McCloughan's dismissal Monday was not the smoothest path to prepare for next month's NFL draft.
"For me to sit here and say, 'Oh, no, we're just going to go right ...' It's not like that," Singletary said Wednesday at the NFL owner's meeting. "Don't get me wrong: we lost a very valuable guy in Scot. But at the same time, we've got a lot of people that do a lot of great work for the 49ers in the personnel department.
"We're not one guy."

York wants to win the division the hard way, just like Al Davis.
