Report: Colorado May Not Move To Pac-10 Until 2012-13
AHN Sports Staff

Boulder, CO, United States (AHN) - Conference realignment in the Pac-10 may have to wait two more years after Colorado decided to stay in the Big 12 until the 2012-2013 season, multiple sources reported Wednesday.

The Boulder Daily Camera reported Wednesday Colorado will not jump to the Pac-10 until the 2012-2013 season to prevent being fined by its current conference.

Big 12 bylaws require any departing member with two-year notice to forfeit 50 percent of its share from media coverage and ticket sales revenue.

Reports indicated Colorado is not willing to sacrifice $9- $14.5 million over the next two years, prompting the school to consider the two-year notice.

They just want to avoid the fine.

Nebraska is just flat out saying don't have to pay. They may have basis for that, I don't know. Just posting the article.
