I mean, preseason games have historically been a great predictor of regular season success. Just ask the 0-16 2008 Lions, who were a perfect 4-0 in the preseason.

2. Yep. Got in this same argument last night... |
|
Sick of hearing it from people...
All I kept hearing is how good x was in the preseason games this year... All I had to say was the 0-16 Lions were 4-0 in preseason and suddenly the topic gets changed...
Preseason should be abolished. If I were a coach/gm, my starters and 2nd stringers wouldn't play one second of preseason football. Not one play.
Abolish it or put it to one or two games. It's useless.

9. It serves a purpose--but not in any Win-Loss sense |
|
It just gives the teams a realistic chance to evaluate the on-the-bubble talent, and work on stuff like timing.
Having said that, I never watch a second of it.

3. The great Redskin team of 1990-91 that won the SB |
|
Was 0-4 and looked COMPLETELY horrid in the pre-season. Pre-Season means NADA!

8. Packers should be a force |
|
The Packers could win their Division but they will have to do better against the Vikes than they did last year. The cowboys are another team that could be hard to beat also. Of course the Saints are returning 20 of 22 starters and have strengthen their bench some so the Saints are the team to beat in the NFC.
